The UK government wants to hear from young people on climate change – and you could help shape future policy.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) is running an online survey, which asks a short series of questions on how young people can best be involved in the climate change decision making process.
The government department, of which Ed Miliband is Secretary of State, is keen to find ways of working with young people. These include things like youth panels which will help them shape their policies on tackling climate change and the use of energy. And of course if you have your own ideas, feel free to suggest them.
The fact that the DECC is carrying out this survey is an admission from the government that it is the younger generation who will experience the consequences of decisions made today, so don’t miss this opportunity to have your say!
The online survey is open from now until 26 January, so fill it in before it’s too late – it takes less than five minutes. And don’t forget to forward the link to your friends when you’ve finished.
