Want to do your bit for World Water Day?

So, you’ve signed our action and sent it to all your friends and family. You really want to do something more, but what can you do?

Simple:

  1. Organise your own queue for the Guinness World Record attempt (see the instructions below).
  2. Join a queue that has already been organised. Find out about local events at the World Toilet Queue website.

How to organise a queue worthy of Guinness World Records:

For your queue to be valid you need to assemble a group of people to queue for a toilet for at least 10 minutes, as well as fill in the participant registration form, which you’ll need to send back to the address on the form after the event. IMPORTANT: remember that you will need parental signature for anyone participating who is under 18.

To make sure your event is a success and counts for the record please download our handy infosheet and read the guide produced by End Water Poverty. If you are under 18 make sure you don’t give out your personal phone number. Ask an adult to help you with the event form and to be the contact person for your queue.

And why not make your queue more fun with costumes, dances and music? Have a look at the End Water Poverty guide for more ideas.

Other ways to make your voice heard and take action:

  • Join the virtual queue . By joining the online queue you’ll be adding your name to a global petition demanding change from politicians at the high-level meeting in April 2010.

  • If you’re in London, join us on Monday 22 March at 8.30am (yes, that’s 8.30 in the morning) to make sure our politicians hear us!Watch this space to find out where to meet.
