Every day more and more people are learning about climate change and doing what they can to help tackle this problem. This is a huge responsibility but with everyone's involvement, we have the chance to greatly reduce our carbon emissions.
If you want to take action on climate change, here are some ideas to get you started:
- On Saturday 5 December 2009, ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen, over 50,000 people marched through the streets of London in support of a safe climate future for all. Check out our Wave page for loads of ideas on how you can stop climate chaos, from emailing your MP to painting your hands blue!
- Enter the 1 minute to save the world competition.
- Watch the Age of Stupid – on release in cinemas now – and spread the word to your friends.
-
Calculate your carbon footprint.
- Download the Climate Centre's Climate Kit to take action.
- Turn your central heating down by a few degrees and put a jumper on instead
- Switch off electronic appliances if they’re not in use
- Only boil a kettle with as much water as you need
