Channel 5 reported from the summit on the meeting with world leaders.

So what is Junior 8?

The UNICEF Junior 8 Summit  brings together young people from the UK, from other G8 countries and from non-G8 countries, to discuss how to change our world for the better. They then write a declaration to world leaders to ensure they take into account young people’s views when making their decisions.

The G8 is a group of eight industrialised countries around the world - Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States. The purpose of the G8 is for the leaders of these nations to meet and discuss major economic and political issues affecting their own countries and the international community as a whole. Every year at the G8 Summit, the leaders meet up to try to agree on what each country can do to achieve these common goals.
